"Ricochet" - digital single

September 2017, Mike released a digital-only single, featuring the powerful Chicago style harmonica of Neil Billington. It's an instrumental of Neil's - "Ricochet". Available to download or stream from the usual places, including here, at iTunes.

French Blues Magazine

Mike is one of the five New Zealand blues artists featured in the French blues magazine "Blues & Co" (issue 78, Dec 2016), in an article about the Australian and NZ blues scene.

40 Below Blues

Mike recorded a new CD, to be released in October 2016, featuring acoustic old time blues and originals. Mostly a solo CD, it also has guest appearances by Neil Billington on harmonica and Robbie Laven on fiddle. Only distributed digitally and available at gigs.

Live Magic - Tokyo - 2016

Mike and Neil Billington return to Japan in 2016 for the Live Magic festival, in Tokyo. They make two appearances, on 22, 23 October. This major Japanese festival features music from a mix of genres. The 2016 headliner is slide guitarist Sonny Landreth

2016 Norfolk Island Jazz Festival

Mike is taking a 4-piece to this iconic festival, 4th-11th December 2016. He'll have Derek Jacobs on guitar, mandolin and vocals, Nigel Masters on upright bass, and multi instrumentalist Robbie Laven, on fiddle, mandolin and washboard. 2015 Japan Tour

Seven gigs in six cities in nine days! Interviwed and playing live-to-air on Tokyo's InterFM, host Peter Barakan invited Mike and Neil to appear at a major Tokyo festival in October 2016.

Returning to Japan - June 2015

Mike and Neil Billington return to Japan in early June 2015 with gigs in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, Kyoto, Osaka and Nagoya. The tour is from 4 to 13 June. Gig details are in the gig guide.

Mike and Neil will be backed by the band "ZZ'Z" for the Tokyo gigs, featuring Atsuto Tame Shoji on guitar.
